In this article:
The three big truck stop rewards programs all start at 1 point per gallon of diesel and pay more as you fuel more. They differ in how: Pilot raises your rate with each 50-gallon fill in a month, while Love's and TA set next month's rate by this month's gallons. Love's is the only one that publishes a cash value for points (100 points = $1.00).
So the best truck stop rewards program depends on how much you fuel, which perks you use (showers, parking, food, truck service) and where your routes take you. The table below is built only from each chain's own published terms.
Side-by-side comparison (as of October 2026)
| Pilot (myRewards with PushForPoints) | Love's Rewards (professional driver) | TA/Petro (earnify pro) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base diesel earning | 1 point per gallon of commercial diesel | 1 point per gallon (Base status) | 1 point per gallon of diesel and DEF |
| How the rate goes up | Activate monthly in the app; each 50+ gallon fill (one per day) adds 1/2 point per gallon for the rest of the month, up to 4; resets on the 1st | This month's gallons set next month's status: Gold 500+ (2 pts), Platinum 1,000+ (3 pts), Diamond 1,500+ (4 pts) | This month's gallons set next month's "Gear": 750–999 (+1), 1,000–1,499 (+2), 1,500+ (+3) |
| Top level | Elite: fuel 1,200+ gallons, then activate next month for 4 points per gallon all month, plus 2 free drinks a week | Diamond, 1,500+ gallons | MAX Gear, 1,500+ gallons |
| Showers | 1 credit per 50+ gallon fill (good 10 days); half a credit for 14–49 gallons; Shower Power at 1,000+ gallons a month = a shower every day for the rest of that month and the next | 1 shower after 50 gallons at Base and Gold; free daily showers at Platinum and Diamond | 1 credit per single purchase of 60+ gallons; at MAX Gear a credit can also be a 24-hour reserved parking spot or a meal up to $17 |
| Other earning | Not stated on the pro rewards page | 2–4 points per dollar in store by status; +2 points on Love's drinks, snacks, fresh food and bulk DEF; points at Love's Truck Care | Truck service: 1 point per dollar (2 for Platinum members) |
| Published point value | Not published | 100 points = $1.00 | Not published |
| What points buy | Food, drinks, select merchandise, showers, parking and more | Food, drinks, in-store merchandise, Truck Care, Love's-owned restaurants (after your first 500 points) | Kiosk certificates; showers, reserved parking and Wi-Fi in the app |
| Points expire | All earned points removed after 12 straight months with no earning or redeeming | After more than 6 months inactive | After 180 days with no activity, and 24 months after issue if unused |
| Notable limits | One qualifying fill per day | Points can't be earned or spent on tobacco, alcohol, gift cards or lottery | Points on only 2 fuel purchases a day; 15,000 fuel points a month maximum |

Pilot: points that climb with every fill
Pilot's pro driver program runs through myRewards. You earn 1 point per gallon of commercial diesel when you swipe your rewards card, and Pilot says the app is not required for that base rate. To earn more, you activate PushForPoints in the Pilot app each month. Per Pilot's terms, each qualifying fill of at least 50 gallons, limited to one per day, adds half a point per gallon for the rest of the month, up to 4 points. The rate resets to 1 point on the first of the next month.
Elite status changes that reset. Fuel 1,200 gallons in a month, activate the next month, and you start that month at 4 points per gallon, with 2 free drinks a week. Pilot's other pro perks:
- A shower credit with every 50+ gallon fill, good for 10 days; half a credit for 14 to 49 gallons.
- Shower Power: fuel 1,000+ gallons in a month and get a free shower every day for the rest of that month and all of the next.
- A hot meal and drink during your birthday month.
- 10% off food and drinks for verified military members.
Points do not buy diesel, DEF, gasoline, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards or cash. Earned points are removed if your account goes 12 consecutive months without earning or redeeming. Note that pilotflyingj.com now redirects to pilotcompany.com.

Love's: status set by last month's gallons
Love's Rewards is the only program of the three that states a cash value: 100 points = $1.00. For professional drivers, the gallons you fuel this month, in commercial diesel, bulk DEF, CNG and reefer fuel, decide your status and points for next month.
| Love's status | Gallons this month | Points per gallon next month | Points per dollar in store | Showers | Drink refill credits a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 0–499 | 1 | 2 | 1 after 50 gallons (good 7 days) | 1 |
| Gold | 500+ | 2 | 2 | 1 after 50 gallons (good 10 days) | 2 |
| Platinum | 1,000+ | 3 | 3 | Free daily | 3 |
| Diamond | 1,500+ | 4 | 4 | Free daily | 4 |
Every status earns 2 extra points on Love's drinks, snacks and fresh food and on bulk DEF. Points also work at Love's Truck Care, at 1 point per dollar (2 at Diamond). You can start redeeming once you have 500 points. Points expire only if the account is inactive for more than 6 months.
TA and Petro: earnify pro replaces UltraONE
TA and Petro moved their UltraONE and TruckSmart programs to earnify pro in July 2026. TA says current points, status and account information carry over automatically. Per the official rules:
- Base: 1 point per gallon of diesel or DEF.
- Gears: this month's gallons set next month's extra points. First Gear (749 or less) adds 0, Second Gear (750–999) adds 1, Third Gear (1,000–1,499) adds 2, and MAX Gear (1,500+) adds 3 per gallon.
- Credits: one credit for each single purchase of 60+ gallons. Below MAX Gear a credit is a shower. At MAX Gear it can be a shower, a 24-hour reserved parking spot, or a meal worth up to $17.
- Platinum membership: earn 20,000 qualifying points in a calendar year, then 10,000 a year to keep it. Platinum members earn 2 points per dollar at TA Truck Service instead of 1.
- Limits: points on only two fuel purchases a day, and no more than 15,000 fuel points in a month.
- Expiration: points expire after 180 days without activity, and after 24 months if not redeemed.
TA's rules also say you only earn points on purchases you make and pay for, and accounts can't be shared. Team drivers each need their own account.
Worked example: 1,100 gallons a month
Points per gallon are easy to compare. The value of a point is not. Here is how a driver who fuels about 1,100 gallons every month, in eleven 100-gallon fills, would earn in a steady month. This is an illustration from our reading of each chain's published terms, not a quote from any chain.
| Program | Rate in a steady month | Points from 1,100 gallons |
|---|---|---|
| Love's | Platinum (1,000+ last month): 3 points per gallon | 3,300 points, which Love's values at $33.00 |
| TA/Petro | Third Gear (1,000–1,499 last month): 1 + 2 = 3 points per gallon | 3,300 points; no cash value published |
| Pilot | Activated, below Elite: rate starts at 1 and climbs 1/2 point after each daily 50+ gallon fill, capped at 4 | About 3,350 points if each fill raises the rate for later fills; no cash value published |
The point totals land close together. The real difference is in perks: at 1,100 gallons a month, Love's gives free daily showers at Platinum, Pilot gives Shower Power, and TA gives a credit per 60-gallon fill. Since only Love's publishes a point value, compare on what you will actually use.
Which truck stop rewards program fits you
| If you care most about | Look at | Why, per the chains' terms |
|---|---|---|
| Free daily showers | Love's Platinum or Diamond; Pilot Shower Power | Both start at 1,000+ gallons a month |
| Reserved parking | TA/Petro | Points buy reserved parking, and MAX Gear credits can be a 24-hour spot |
| A high rate without a big month | Pilot | The rate climbs with the number of 50+ gallon fills, not the monthly total |
| Knowing what a point is worth | Love's | 100 points = $1.00 is published |
| Truck service | Love's Truck Care; TA Truck Service | Both earn points per dollar on service |
| Not losing points between runs | Pilot | Points stay unless there are 12 months of no activity, the longest window of the three |
Truck parking is a daily problem, not a perk. In ATRI's 2026 Top Industry Issues survey, released October 18, 2026, truck drivers ranked fuel prices, truck parking and driver compensation as their top three concerns. Where you stop also shapes how you log the stop; see our guide to off duty vs sleeper berth.
What fleets should know about truck stop rewards
Truck stop programs are built for drivers, but fleets pay for most of the fuel that earns the points.
- The points sit in the driver's account. Each program ties points to an individual member account. TA's rules say points can't be shared or allocated to other members.
- Some chains let employers add points. Pilot's terms say members may receive "Purchased Points" from their employers, which do not expire until redeemed. We did not find the same option in the Love's or TA terms we read.
- Your fuel network policy decides where drivers earn. If you route drivers to one chain for fuel pricing, they can only earn that chain's points. Say so plainly in your fuel policy.
- Points are a perk, not pay. Drivers rank compensation among their top concerns, so treat truck stop points as a small extra. Our guide to driver retention without raising pay covers the levers that matter more.
If you want a rewards program the fleet runs itself, compare the options in our guide to fleet rewards programs, and see how gift cards compare with cash in gift cards vs cash incentives.
