The main Tenstreet alternatives for trucking fleets, as of October 2026, are Avatar DriverHub, Foley, TruckRight and J. J. Keller Encompass for recruiting software, plus Drive My Way for driver matching and Fountain for high-volume frontline hiring. DriverReach no longer counts: Tenstreet acquired it in March 2025, and its website now redirects to Tenstreet.

Every fact below comes from the vendor's own site, opened in October 2026. This list does not say any of them is better or worse than Tenstreet; it shows what each says it does, so you can match it to what you need.
What Tenstreet covers, for comparison
Tenstreet describes itself as end-to-end software for marketing, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, safety management and retention (FAQ). Its hiring center lists the IntelliApp application, Xchange employment verifications, a Job Store for 20 job boards, online onboarding and the Driver Pulse driver app. Pricing is tailored and "An annual contract does not have to be signed" (pricing).
If cost or commitment is why you are looking, check Tenstreet On Demand first: it is Tenstreet's month-to-month bundle of six services for smaller fleets.

1. Avatar DriverHub
Avatar calls DriverHub "truck driver recruiting software and an applicant tracking system". It lists a mobile career site with no driver log-in, automated hiring checklists, marketing source reports, automatic texts, e-signatures by link, and DOT-compliant DQ files built during onboarding. Avatar also sells recruiting and compliance services, from answering phones and qualifying drivers to scanning, auditing and managing DQ files. Its pricing page uses per-driver pricing with a calculator, includes a dedicated client success manager, and lists add-ons such as Clearinghouse queries, employment verifications, PSP and MVRs.
Fits: fleets that want recruiting software and outside help in one contract, with per-driver pricing to compare.
2. Foley
Foley says its roots are in transportation and that it has more than 30 years in FMCSA compliance and driver background checks. The Foley hiring platform covers job posting, a mobile application with an "Apply by License" feature, phased background screening, drug tests, physicals and Clearinghouse queries. Its recruiting page says postings can be shared to major job boards. The pricing page lists three packages (Essential, Professional and Power) without dollar amounts; Professional adds audit support and Power adds a document review service.
Fits: fleets that want hiring tied to the same vendor that runs their background checks and drug and alcohol program.
3. TruckRight
TruckRight describes itself as recruiting, retention and compliance software for fleets, built for for-hire carriers, private fleets, construction and waste fleets. Its recruiting page lists a configurable ATS, mobile applications, knockout questions, automated scorecards, bulk messaging, job board integrations and a CRM for automated texts and emails. It says driver data "is never sold or shared with other fleets." TruckRight's site also points to sister companies for recruiting and compliance services and for recruitment marketing.
Fits: fleets that want an ATS configured to their current process and a written statement on driver data.
4. J. J. Keller Encompass
J. J. Keller Encompass is a broad fleet safety and compliance platform that J. J. Keller says is used by fleets with 1 to 3,000 drivers. Hiring is one module: "Online hiring and applications, applicant tracking, scoring & notification of priority candidates". The same platform covers driver qualification checklists, MVR monitoring, drug and alcohol program management, hours of service auditing and vehicle maintenance, with access to J. J. Keller's regulatory experts and 24/7 driver support.
Fits: fleets that would rather run recruiting inside their compliance system than buy a separate recruiting platform.
5. Drive My Way
Drive My Way is a recruiting service that matches CDL drivers to jobs, not an applicant tracking system. Drivers build one profile, choose from 23 preferences and see a match score from 1 to 10 for each job; the service is free to drivers (pricing page). Employers get job promotion, access to its driver community and "Match Makers", staff who engage matched drivers. Pricing is by contact, with a choice of term length.
Fits: fleets that keep their own ATS but want a different source of qualified applicants.
6. Fountain
Fountain is a hiring platform for high-volume frontline roles. Its logistics page lists sourcing, an ATS, onboarding and AI agents that screen candidates. The pages we opened do not mention the DOT driver application, employment verifications or DQ files. Its pricing page offers pricing tailored to the products a customer chooses.
Fits: fleets that hire many warehouse, yard or non-CDL workers and want one system for that, alongside a trucking-specific tool for CDL drivers.
How to choose between Tenstreet and an alternative
Start from the job you need done, not the brand.
- You need the DOT application, verifications and DQ files in one place: compare Tenstreet, Avatar, Foley and TruckRight on those three items side by side.
- You want someone else to do part of the work: Avatar and Foley both sell services on top of software.
- Your safety team already lives in a compliance platform: J. J. Keller Encompass or Foley keep hiring in the same system.
- You need more applicants, not more software: Drive My Way works alongside any ATS.
Whatever you pick, test its application against 49 CFR 391.21, the federal rule listing what every driver employment application must contain. Our best driver recruiting software guide has an item-by-item checklist. The Clearinghouse step is covered in limited vs full Clearinghouse queries.
Questions to ask each vendor
- Does your application cover every 391.21(b) item, including the 10-year CMV employer history for CDL drivers?
- Can we bring our existing applicants and DQ files with us, and in what format can we take them out?
- Which job boards, background screening, telematics and HR or payroll systems do you connect to today?
- Is pricing per driver, per user or per package, and is there a minimum term?
- Who can see our applicant data, and is any of it shared with other fleets?
